Finding influence
in a connected world.
A C++ Twitter activity tracker built in a four-person team. Depth-first search and PageRank explore connections and rank influential users in the Higgs boson dataset.
ZACHARY GEORGE / SOFTWARE ENGINEER
I build across the stack—from embedded software to cloud analytics. I’m interested in how data, algorithms, and thoughtful engineering come together to solve practical problems.
SELECTED PROJECTS
Two explorations in algorithms and data. Public code, concrete questions, and a closer look at how the systems behave.

Python simulations explore server-request matching in one and two dimensions. A 100-trial 1D experiment compares greedy distance costs with an optimal baseline.
SELECTED EXPERIENCE
Experience with cloud-based analysis, machine learning workflows, and the firmware running inside physical devices.
Built AWS SageMaker tooling to analyze 500,000+ 5G modem logs and QuickSight dashboards to support network-performance analysis.
Developed Python software using two machine learning models. Analyzed 70+ Webex meetings for a customer-quote workflow adopted by the Customer Experience team.
Delivered C/C++ firmware updates for handheld radios and redesigned startup error logging to identify potential issues.
A LITTLE CONTEXT
My background is in electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’m drawn to problems that connect the software we write to the systems underneath it.
I enjoy understanding how things work, testing ideas in code, and making complicated behavior easier to reason about.
For projects, technical conversations, and interesting problems.
